Messenger · iPhone capture
Make a visible Messenger conversation easier to review.
Available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Capture what identifies the exchange
Begin with enough header context to distinguish the thread, then show the relevant messages in reading order. Keep date dividers, reply targets, reaction context, and attachment previews visible where they matter. Avoid unrelated conversations and notification banners that can introduce private or misleading text into the capture.
Check small UI text carefully
Messenger can place names, delivery markers, reactions, and timestamps in small interface elements. Visual recognition may confuse these with message content or miss them. Verify the speaker side, punctuation, dates, phone numbers, and any phrase where one word changes the meaning. The retained screenshot or recording is the comparison source.
State the method
Label the result as a TextTrace record made from selected visible Messenger material. This makes the boundary understandable to an attorney, HR reviewer, colleague, or client. TextTrace does not access your Facebook account, export hidden account metadata, recover deleted content, or establish authorship. Preserve the phone if those questions may matter.
Questions, answered precisely
Frequently asked questions
Does TextTrace download my Facebook data?
No. This workflow uses only the Messenger screenshots or screen recording you select on the device.
Will reactions and replies always be interpreted correctly?
No. Small or complex interface elements can be misread. Review important reactions, reply links, and timestamps against the retained visual source.
