For workplace and HR review
Review the full pattern—not a pile of screenshots.

A record you can check
Important wording stays connected to the source you selected.
Search the record, open the relevant message in context, and review the retained-source status before you share an export. Text extraction is a starting point for review, not a substitute for checking the source.
- Searchable message text
- Dates, people, attachments, and transcripts
- Retained-source and integrity status

Keep chronology and context
Search dates, people, terms, attachments, and supported transcripts. Review extracted text against the retained source and include the surrounding period the reviewer requests.
Respect scope and authority
Workplace privacy, monitoring, consent, and collection rules vary. TextTrace is not an employee-monitoring, legal-hold, retention, or compliance system. Process only material you are authorized to access and provide.
Choose the handoff
Use PDF for a readable report, CSV for filtering, or HTML/TXT for a portable copy. Do not email sensitive source files unless the receiving organization has approved that channel.
Questions, answered precisely
Frequently asked questions
Can an employer use TextTrace to monitor employees?
TextTrace is not a monitoring or enterprise compliance platform. It processes selected sources provided by the user.
Does TextTrace bypass encrypted iPhone backups?
No. The Mac importer reads only unencrypted Finder or iTunes backups. TextTrace does not bypass backup encryption.
Does a checksum make an export legally admissible?
No. A SHA-256 checksum can help you check whether a file changed. It does not establish authenticity, completeness, admissibility, or legal sufficiency.
