Define “entire” before you start

Does “entire” mean every visible message from one week, one project, or the life of the account? The last option may be impractical or impossible through visual capture. Write a scope statement such as “Messages visible in the Acme project thread from 1 April through 30 June.” That statement is concrete enough to test.

For very long or high-stakes collections, ask the recipient whether they require a device backup, platform export, or forensic provider instead of screenshots.

Use overlaps as checkpoints

Begin each new batch with one or two messages visible at the end of the previous batch. The overlap helps you check sequence and detect a skipped screen. Keep a capture log with the file name, approximate date range, and any interruption. Exact duplicates can be handled, but clean ordered inputs are faster to review and less likely to hide a gap.

Describe the saved record accurately

Good“Captured visible messages from 1 April to 30 June; checked five overlap points.”

Avoid“Complete lifetime history” when the method cannot establish that conclusion.
