Do not make chat carry the whole case
A chat may explain negotiations or acknowledgements, but a signed contract, proposal, invoice, bank record, work product, delivery receipt, or ticket can answer different questions. Keep each original source unchanged and link it in your review notes. TextTrace organizes messages; it does not convert a conversation into proof of payment, performance, or liability.
Choose PDF or CSV deliberately
PDF is strong for a chronological handoff that another person can read. CSV is useful for filtering dates, participants, amounts, and keywords during preparation. If an attorney, mediator, insurer, finance team, or client asks for a specific format, follow that request and transfer the files through an approved secure channel.
Questions, answered precisely
Frequently asked questions
Can TextTrace calculate what a client owes?
No. It organizes selected messages. Amounts, credits, taxes, contract terms, and liability must be established from the relevant business records and professional advice.
Should I export every client chat?
Start with the defined project, invoice, people, and date range. Preserve enough context and follow the recipient’s request rather than exporting unrelated client information.
